By using isitcredible.com ("the Service"), you agree to these terms.
The Service
isitcredible.com is operated by The Catalogue of Errors Ltd. It uses a system called "Reviewer 2": large language models simulate peer review reports of academic texts.
Payments and Refunds
Sales for the Service are final once payment is made. By proceeding to payment, you expressly request that processing begins immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once processing has started. If your report cannot be completed for any reason, you will be refunded.
Donations are non-refundable.
Limitation of Liability
The Service uses large language models which, despite verification steps, may produce errors. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including losses arising from reliance on report content.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Data Handling
When using the Service, your privacy is paramount. Your uploaded files are processed solely to generate the report and are deleted from our servers immediately after the job is completed. Neither we nor our partners use your uploaded files to train large language models.
The Disclaimer
Reviewer 2 utilizes third-party large language models to analyze text. While we seek to minimize hallucinations and published reports are the honest opinion of The Catalogue of Errors Ltd, the models can still make mistakes. Users should verify specific page references and data points independently.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use this Service to: upload malware; attempt to reverse-engineer our system; or submit fraudulent payment information. We reserve the right to suspend any job that violates these terms.
Accounts and Balance
You may create an account to top up a balance and access the API. Your account data (email address and password hash) is retained for as long as your account is active. If you wish to close your account and have your data deleted, contact us at the address below.
Balance spent on completed or in-progress jobs is non-refundable, except where a job cannot be completed (in which case the cost is automatically returned to your balance).
Current API pricing: $5.00 per standard report, $7.00 per extended report. Prices may change. We will notify all registered account holders by email before any price change takes effect.
Privacy and Data Protection

We process data under the following legal bases:
- Contractual necessity: To deliver the report you paid for and to manage your account.
- Legitimate interests and public interest: To advance scientific discovery. Published reports are processed under the journalism and academic research exemptions of the Data Protection Act 2018, as necessary for the exercise of freedom of expression.
We use third-party service providers, including payment processors, cloud infrastructure providers, and AI services, some of which are based in the United States. These transfers are conducted under appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses.
You have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within one month.
Cookies
This site uses a single, strictly necessary session cookie to keep you logged in to your account. It contains no personal information, expires after 30 days, and is deleted when you log out. We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. No cookie consent is required for strictly necessary cookies under UK PECR, but we disclose this for transparency.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these terms, including claims regarding defamation or data protection, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
